Hi. How are you? I'm fine, thanks. Life going alright? Your boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife doing well too? The kids? Yes, I'm still single. How's work? Fun and exciting, or monotonous and boring? Mine's been both, with "exciting" and "hellish" being the key words for me. Alright, have a great morning/day/afternoon/evening/night!

As seen on Popular Mechanics, here's a list of 25 things that apparently every guy should know how to do.

1. Patch a radiator hose - Nope
2. Protect your computer - Check
3. Rescue a boater who has capsized - Vaguely remember, but probably would fail this.
4. Frame a wall - Nope
5. Retouch digital photos - Check
6. Back up a trailer - Check
7. Build a campfire - Check
8. Fix a dead outlet - Nope
9. Navigate with a map and compass - Check
10. Use a torque wrench - Check
11. Sharpen a knife - Check
12. Perform CPR - Check
13. Fillet a fish - Nope
14. Maneuver a car out of a skid - Check
15. Get a car unstuck - Check
16. Back up data - Check
17. Paint a room - Check
18. Mix concrete - Check
19. Clean a bolt-action rifle - Nope
20. Change oil and filter - Nope
21.
Kellogg To Give In To Idiot Parents

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,282318,00.html

Fucking idiot parents who grew up never taking responsibility for their actions need to learn not to blame others for their own failings as both a person and a parent. No, there is absolutely nothing wrong with parents and advocacy groups asking a large corporation to change, however, blackmail is not an appropriate method to inflict change. No, there is absolutely nothing wrong with a large corporation working with parents and advocacy groups to make processed foods healthier.

Parents: if you do not want your kids to eat sugary, unhealthy, fatty foods, then:
JUST SAY NO.

Damn fucking idiots.

Comment here and......

1. I’ll respond with something random about you.
2. I’ll challenge you to try something.
3. I’ll pick a color that I associate with you.
4. I’ll tell you something I like about you.
5. I’ll tell you my first/clearest memory of you.
6. I’ll tell you what animal you remind me of.
7. I’ll ask you something I’ve always wanted to ask you.
8. If I do this for you, you must post this in your journal.

and so it begins...

[Cross-posted from http://mj.bulzomi.us ]

The first snow of 2007. And what did we get? Not more than a half inch. That melted by noon. Ah, well, little did I know that less than six hours after it all melted, we would have six more inches of snow, this time being just as bad as the snowstorm that hit Seattle in November. Traffic snarled all to hell, and major accidents all over the highways and freeways. I wonder if I will be called in to work early tomorrow. Probably not, since I don't start until three anyway, and it's a longer shift. I wonder if I might be able to call in due to ice... Probably not on that front also, but I'll need the money soon, so I'd better not.

And now to get back to having a real life.

another night alone

Alone again tonight
In this empty time
The sound in my head
The sight leaves me blind

I'll write a million words
I'll sing until it hurts
How far could this be
Until it's seen

How long will I let this go
I can't stand to spend another night alone

I stare at the empty walls
I speak, no one hears
I make every excuse
And blame my fears

All these shadows come to rest
In my head
I can't see you
I can't hear the things you said

There is a secret place
You'll find a bloodstained fence
It's there the future speaks
And she spoke to me
